Thanksgiving Post

Over Thanksgiving break I interviewed my mom and she said that the answering machine was the most important technology that she uses for her job. She learned how to use it by plugging it in and just using it. She thought that it was easy to master and changed the job scene tremendously because it eliminated the need for a receptionist/phone person. She believes that it did make the job more enjoyable because all calls were documented and easy to return.

I would agree with mother when she says that the answering machine makes it easier to keep track of phone calls and be able to return the calls. Although the answering machine is slightly outdated with the voicemail capabilities of mobile devices and the increased use of mobile devices over landline phones, these machines are still seen and readily used in workplaces and households.
