Madison-
In Madison, I noticed that most of the job offerings were warehouse workers or factory workers (i.e. jobs that don't require technological literacy). The only requirements for multiple of these jobs was: the ability to live heavy weights and being a hard worker. In fact, most of the offerings said "no experience necessary". Most of the jobs listed here under "contract", however, one said temporary and one said permanent. The 1 engineer job that was offered did require technological skills and that also seemed to be the only one that was a good lasting job.
Chicago-
In Chicago, there was a clear diversity of jobs offered and some of them were listed as permanent positions. They ranged from the arts, to marketing, to telecommunications, and manufacturing etc. All nine of the jobs that I looked at required some level of technological skill. These jobs seemed more solid and overall better than the ones offered in Madison.
Los Angeles-
LA offered the most jobs that listed as "permanent" and the rest said "contract" none were listed as temporary. Almost every single job listed on the three pages in the 90210 zip code required technological skill and each one actually seemed like a solid job choice.
I definitely agree with the results that you found, but as I looked at the site, the jobs that seemed to me like unattractive jobs, usually the ones that did not require that much prior experience, are probably attractive to those who need a starting point, and see this site as an accessible way to gain the experience in order to get the more varied and permanent jobs on the site as well as beyond it. There probably aren't much solid jobs on this site because it's catered to those who are in real need of employment or skills.
