Madison, WI
The majority of jobs available in Madison are contract jobs, with a few temporary jobs as well. They are mostly factory jobs that require very few skills, with a few customer service-type jobs. They seem like fairly steady jobs, but it's hard to classify them as "good" jobs.
Janesville, WI
Of the nine jobs listed in my hometown, most are management positions that are either permanent or contracted. They do not appear to require many specific skills other than just working with people and management. Again, these are jobs that some one could make a living off of, but they might not be "good" jobs.
Chicago, IL
The windy city has a lot of administration jobs available, mostly assistants, technicians, and consultants. Very few are permanent jobs, with most listed as contract. Most of the jobs listed don't require many technical skills, just people-skills and coordination. Given the wide range of jobs, some of them seem like they could be good jobs, while others are pretty menial.
